Chat features and tips #2

  • Search keywords, read all messages, exit all chats, change themes

1. Keyword search

You can search up a certain message or keyword within the chat. Use the search box at the top right corner of the chat, and you can specify the time frame for a more detailed search.

2. Read all chats

If you have received too many messages and want to read them all at once, use the "Read All" button!

3. Leave several chats

You can leave several chat rooms at once, as long as they are general (1 to 1) or group chats.

Tip!

  • You cannot leave project chats, unless you leave the project itself.

  • If you are the only manager of the chat, you cannot leave.

4. Theme setting

You can now set up a different theme for each chat. Try changing the theme to a more vibrant setting, and enhance communication.

5. Reaction emojis for messages

Many people may have requested for a simpler way to respond than reply when communicating via messenger. This was probably to react more easily to messages or express empathy more conveniently to their teammates' great ideas.

To facilitate simpler and more intimate communication, we have developed a feature where you can add reactions to the messages you want :)

✔ Tip

  • You can only select one emoji reaction per message. If you have chosen one emoji already to a message and select another one, the last choice will replace your previous selection.

  • In mobile app, press and hold the message bubble to see the list of emojis and actions you can take.

6. Search for chat rooms by multiple users

To search for a chat room where users A, B, C, and D are all involved, enter their names in the search bar simultaneously.

The chat where they are all participating in common will appear in the results.

Tip!

  • To search for multiple users, separate their names with spaces instead of commas.

  • You may also search using either the first or last name of the members.

7. Forward messages on both web and mobile
No need to copy and paste messages between chats!

Just use the "forward" feature to instantly share messages across multiple chat rooms.

You can forward not only text messages, but also documents and images 🤓

Note: To see a chat room in the forwarding list, you must have exchanged at least one message with that person. If the chat room you’re looking is not in the list, try sending them a quick message and then attempt to forward again.

  • Special Feature: Forwarding Chats on Mobile

When forwarding a message, there is a unique feature available only on the mobile app. The forwarded message can be directly inserted into the body of a regular article post of a project!

Instead of copying and pasting chat text, you can simply forward it to a project, and the text will automatically appear in a new article post. You can then edit the content as needed before publishing.

Tip!

  • When forwarding a chat to a project on the mobile application, the text will always be inserted into a regular article post by default. In this view, it is not possible to switch to other post types.

  • You can select up to 10 project rooms to which the message can be forwarded.
