Login IP Settings (Business+ only)

By restricting login environments through settings such as login IP settings and mobile app login restrictions, you can strengthen security and prevent unauthorized morningmate usage. Try using the following features if you have concerns about morningmate being used in unauthorized environments. (Scheduled to be released in mid-may👍🏻)

1. Access the ‘Admin Console’ page

After logging in to morningmate, select ‘Admin Console’ in the bottom-left corner to navigate to the administrator page.

Tip!

The ‘Admin Console’ feature is only visible to morningmate administrators within your company.

2. Go to ‘Security settings > Login Security Settings’

Go to the ‘Security Settings > Login Security Settings’ section within the admin console page.

3. Login IP Settings

Only designated IP addresses can access login, and login is not available from unauthorized IP addresses. Try adding login-enabled IP addresses through ‘IP Add’!

Tip!

IP addresses that are unauthorized will be automatically logged out.

(1) If attempted to log in from an unauthorized IP address?

‘Login is unauthorized from this IP’ will be displayed, and will not be able to log in.


3. Managing Users with Login Exceptions

You can configure accounts that can log in independently to the designated IP settings. For exceptional situations such as business trips, please add them as ‘Exception user’ accounts.

Tip!

It is advised that at least one administrator add themself as an exceptional user to protect against potential incorrect IP settings.

(1) Add exception user

By clicking the 'Add' option, you can view the internal accounts and specify accounts that will not be affected by login IP settings.

(2) Delete users

No need to worry if you incorrectly registered an exception user! Simply select the account and click the ‘Delete’ button to remove.

4. Mobile App Login Restriction

If you have enabled the 'Login IP Restriction Settings,' but are concerned about access via mobile devices, or if your corporate policy prohibits working via mobile devices, enable the 'Mobile App Login Restriction' feature.

Tip!

morningmate mobile app is not subject to login IP restrictions, hence separate restriction settings are required.

*Mobile networks use dynamic IP addresses, making it impossible to regulate logins with specific IP addresses.

Examples of login restrictions by situation🤔

  • enabled login IP restrictions / disabled mobile app login restrictions
    Only designated IP addresses on PCs are permitted access, but users can log in via the mobile app.

  • enabled login IP restrictions / enabled mobile app login restrictions
    Login is not permitted from unauthorized IP addresses on both PCs and all mobile apps.

  • disabled login IP restrictions / enabled mobile app login restrictions
    Login is permitted from all PCs, but login is not possible through the mobile app.

  • enabled login IP restrictions / setting ‘A user’ with login exception
    All accounts can log in only from designated IPs on Pcs aside from ‘A use.’
