Restrict file downloads

By limiting file and image downloads in projects and/or chats, you can protect your organization or team's valuable data from inadvertent sharing.

✔ Tip
​Members outside of your organization or team do not have access to this feature.

1. Admin console

Upon logging into Morningmate, access the Admin Console by selecting it at the bottom of the left-hand menu bar.

✔ Tip
Only admins within an organization have access to the Admin Console menu, where they can add or remove other admins.

2. Security Settings > Restrict files downloads
​To enable this feature, navigate to "Restrict file downloads" under the "Security Settings" section of the Admin Console.

​3. Activating "Restricting file downloads"
​Upon activating the feature to restrict file downloads, you can opt to limit file downloads per device. With this feature enabled, users are only permitted to view files but are unable to download them.

✔ Tip
File downloads will be restricted on mobile devices for files accessed through the platform's mobile app. Similarly, file downloads will be limited on the web and desktop app versions of the platform.
