Morningmate desktop app offers exclusive features that are not available in the web browser, such as changing the file download location and configuring Lock Mode. Download the desktop app to take advantage of these features.
1. Configure the desktop app
Click File > Settings from the top menu bar to open the Settings window.
Launch at startup
Enable Launch at startup to automatically open the Morningmate desktop app whenever your computer starts.
Lock Mode
Set the Lock Mode timeout anywhere from 1 to 120 minutes.
Window mode
Choose your preferred window mode:
Full window
Mini window
File download location
Change the default download location for files downloaded through the desktop app.
Click the Edit icon to choose a new download folder.
Tip!
If you disable this option, the popup will not appear, and files will be saved directly to the designated location.
2. Refresh (Clear cache)
If the desktop app becomes slow during use, select Refresh (Clear Cache) to remove accumulated cache data and improve performance.
Note: If you're using Mini Window mode, click the Settings (⚙️) icon to access this option.
3. Merge chat windows
Select View > Merge Windows from the menu bar to combine all open chat windows into a single window for easier management.
4. Adjust the zoom level
When using Full Window mode, you can adjust the display size.
Actual Size displays the interface at its default scale so all menus are visible.
Use Zoom In or Zoom Out to increase or decrease the display size as needed.
5. Always display the app on top
If you choose to keep the morningmate app always on top, it will remain in the foreground, with other browsers and platforms staying behind. This feature helps you multitask more efficiently and provides easy access to morningmate.
