Morningmate provides two types of notifications: the Notification list and Push notifications. Since you can configure each type independently based on your work preferences, it is important to understand the difference between them.
(Left: Notification list / Right: Push notification)
1. Notification list
The Notification list can be accessed by clicking the bell(🔔) icon in the upper-right corner of the main screen.
It records all activity related to the projects you participate in, such as new posts, comments, and other updates. You can switch between Unread and All to view the notifications you want.
You can also use the notification filter within the Notification list to display only notifications for a specific category.
1) Filter tabs
You can use filter tabs to separate the notifications based on the following cases (can apply more than 2 tabs)
Mentions: Posts where you are mentioned
My Posts: Notifications related to the post you created.
My tasks: Notifications related to posts where you are assigned as assignee.
(If the notifications do not correspond to either of the tabs, nothing will show up in the list).
Tip!
If there is at least one unread notification, the Unread tab is displayed first.
Notification list settings can be configured for each project.
2) Search Bar
To find a specific notification in the notification list, simply type a keyword in the search bar and relevant notifications will be displayed.
2. Push notifications
Push notifications appear as banner notifications on your PC or mobile device.
When enabled, you will receive instant notifications for new posts, comments, or chat messages. Clicking a push notification takes you directly to the relevant post or chat.
(Go to: How to configure push notifications)
Tip!
Push notifications can be configured in Settings, and you can also customize push notification preferences for each project.
