You can delete a message either for yourself only or for everyone if it was sent by mistake.
1. Delete for me
Select More > Delete for me on a chat message to remove it only from your chat window. The message will remain visible to all other participants. This option is available for both messages you sent and messages sent by others.
Tip!
When a message is deleted for me, it is removed only from my chat. Other participants can still see the message, and there is no indication that it has been deleted.
2. Delete for everyone
Select More > Delete for all on a message you sent to remove it for all participants in the chat.
This option is available only within 3 minutes of sending the message. Once deleted, the message will be replaced with "This message was deleted." for everyone in the chat.
Tip!
When a message is deleted for everyone, it is removed from everyone's chat, and a placeholder ("Deleted message") is left to indicate that a message was deleted.
📢Note:
You can delete messages sent by other participants from your own chat only. They will remain visible to everyone else.
Chat room managers cannot delete messages sent by other participants. Only the sender can delete a message for everyone.
