General chat vs project chat
Updated over a year ago

You can initiate conversations in either a general chat or a project-specific chat based on your requirements.

1. General chat
The general chat function in Morningmate works similarly to most messaging apps you're familiar with. You can invite people to join and start a conversation by accessing Chat or by going to another member's profile.

✔ Tip

You can initiate a chat with one or more people, including yourself.

Inviting participants
You can invite participants to a chat as needed.

✔ Tip

If your company or team has established an organizational chart, you can invite a group of people simultaneously to a chat.

2. Project chat
To start a project chat, simply click on the "Chat" button located at the bottom of the participant list within the project. This allows you to communicate with all project participants as a team. You can also easily navigate to the corresponding project space from the chat.

Managing participants
Participants will be added or removed from a project chat automatically depending on whether they are added to or removed from the project. It's important to note that participants cannot leave a project chat on their own.

✔ Tip

Participants in a project chat can be removed by the project manager.

Go to this project
To access the project connected to a chat, click the three lines located at the top right corner of the chat interface. This will enable you to refer to the project or create new posts and comments while you are actively chatting about it.

✔ Tip

Deleting a project will result in the associated chat being deleted as well.
