You can sync Event and Task posts in Morningmate with Google Calendar so you can view them all in one place. If you've been checking Morningmate and your external calendar separately, you can now manage everything from Google Calendar. 😊
Tip!
You can also register events and tasks to Google Calendar on mobile devices. However, due to platform restrictions, Google Calendar integration is not supported on Android devices.
1. Connect your Google Calendar account
Before you can use Google Calendar with Morningmate, you need to connect your Google account. You can do this either the first time you use the feature or later from Settings.
1) Connect from an Event or Task post
The first time you select Add to Google Calendar from an Event or Task post, you'll be prompted to connect your Google account.
From a registered Event or Task post, select More → Add to Google Calendar, then sign in to your Google account to complete the connection.
If your Google account is already connected, the post is added directly to the connected calendar.
2) Connect from Settings
Select your profile picture in the upper-right corner of Morningmate, then go to Settings → External service integrations.
Select Connect next to Google Calendar. A sign-in window opens so you can connect your Google account.
Tip!
If you need to disconnect Google Calendar later, you can do so only from My Settings.
2. Add Event and Task posts to Google Calendar
After connecting Google Calendar, you can add your Morningmate Event and Task posts to Google Calendar.
Two separate calendars are created in Google Calendar:
Morningmate Calendar
Morningmate Task
1) Event posts
When Google Calendar is connected, any Event that you're attending is automatically added to Google Calendar when it's created in Morningmate.
You can also manually add other Event posts by selecting Add to Google Calendar.
Events that list you as an attendee are automatically added to Google Calendar.
If the title or date and time of an Event changes, the changes are automatically synced to Google Calendar.
2) Task posts
For Task posts, you can manually add each task to Google Calendar.
Select More → Add to Google Calendar on a Task post to add it directly to your connected Google Calendar.
Only tasks with a Due date appear in Google Calendar.
If the title or due date of a task changes, the changes are automatically synced to Google Calendar.
3. Disconnect or change your connected Google account
To disconnect Google Calendar or connect a different Google account, go to Settings → External service integrations.
Select Disconnect to remove the current connection immediately. To connect a different Google account, select Connect again and sign in with the account you want to use.
Tip!
If Google Calendar integration isn't working properly in the desktop app, try the following:
Open morningmate.com in a web browser (such as Chrome, Edge, or Safari ).
Go to Profile → Settings → External service integrations.
Disconnect Google Calendar, then connect it again.
