Subtasks allow you to create and manage related tasks under a parent task, making it easy to track detailed progress and handle work items individually. With Flow's subtask feature, you can create up to 50 subtasks under a single parent task, ensuring that even the smallest action items are organized and completed efficiently.
1. Creating a subtask
Subtasks are useful when you need to track detailed progress or distribute a large task among multiple assignees. Simply enter a task title and press Enter to create a subtask. For each subtask, you can specify a Due date (①), Priority (②), and Assignee (③) to manage the work effectively.
Tip!
To add a description to a subtask, first create the subtask following the steps above. Then open the subtask details page and click More → Edit to enter the content.
(1) Adding a subtask to an existing task post
You can easily add a subtask to an existing task by clicking the Add Subtask button within the task post.
📢Note
(2) Adding a subtask while creating a task post
You can also create subtasks directly while creating a task post by selecting Add Subtask.
When creating a subtask, you can set the Due Date, Priority, and Assignee. After entering the task title and options, press Enter to complete the registration.
2. Adding subtasks within subtasks (up to 5 levels)
Starting from the first-level subtask, you can continue adding subtasks under each subtask, creating a hierarchy of up to 5 levels.
Tip!
You can also quickly add subtasks from the Tasks view. (Shortcut)
Be careful when deleting a parent task. Deleting a higher-level task will also remove all of its lower-level subtasks.
3. Using subtasks
Subtasks help you manage work more efficiently by allowing you to quickly update task statuses and assign priorities or assignees as needed.
1) Changing task status and options
Each subtask can have its own workflow status. You can also modify the Start Date, Due Date, Priority, and Assignee at any time.
All changes are automatically recorded in the comments section as activity history.
2) Viewing and editing subtask details
Click any subtask in the list to open its Details window, where you can view and edit the task information.
From this screen, you can update assignees, change task status, review task details, and make any necessary modifications.
