A general project can be created by anyone, with access determined by its public or private setting.
Project managers control permissions for writing, viewing, editing posts, and downloading files, ensuring each project fits specific needs while maintaining privacy and security.
Tip!
Anyone can create this type of project, and once created, the creator becomes the only person on the participant list. Start inviting other relevant members, and project managers can assign other participants as project managers.
1. Create a project
To create a new project, simply click on the "Create Project" button located at the top left corner of the main page.
2. Enter project title and description
Enter a title and description to give more context about the project.
While a project can be created with just a title, adding a description helps clarify its purpose, goals, and key details — especially useful for larger or more complex projects.
Tip!
Use [brackets] as part of your internal naming rule to keep communication and project management clear and consistent. With clear and consistent naming, everyone can quickly understand what each project is about and what it covers.
e.g. [Sales] Outbound leads, [MKT] Social Media
3. Setting project access conditions
1) Project managers can make a project public by toggling the “Public” button during setup, allowing anyone in the organization to request to join.
Tip!
All public projects are displayed under the “Public Projects” section in the menu.
Any company member can request to join a public project and either participate immediately or wait for the project manager’s approval, depending on the project’s settings.
2) You can also enable “Join approval” to ensure that only relevant members are approved by the project manager.
4. Manage project permissions
Use these settings to control who can view, edit, comment, and download files within a project.
They help you manage access levels, maintain security, and support smoother collaboration by giving each member the right permissions for their role.
