Morningmate Wiki editor goes beyond being a simple document tool. It provides a smart editing environment that connects with Morningmate’s real-time data while helping prevent accidental edits and mistakes. 💡
1. Getting started with a page
Create a new page: Click the [Create new page] button in the upper-left corner to start writing immediately. The document is automatically saved as a private document in [My folder].
Basic input: Click anywhere in the blank document and start typing. Optimized formatting is applied automatically without any additional setup.
Start with repattern: Not sure what to write? Let the AI agent help you get started! (👉 Editing with repattern — link to be added)
1) Using block commands (/ commands)
Simply type / (slash) on a blank line in the editor to open all available editing tools in a pop-up menu. Complete your document using just your keyboard without having to move your mouse.
Basic blocks: Headings (H1–H3), tables, lists (numbered/bulleted), checkboxes, quotes, and dividers.
Media blocks: Insert images and attach files.
Advanced blocks: Code blocks for development documents and toggles for collapsing or expanding content.
2) Editing text formatting
Want to emphasize a particular phrase? Simply select the text with your mouse. A smart formatting toolbar will appear right where you need it.
When you select text with your mouse, a smart formatting toolbar appears, allowing you to instantly apply various emphasis and editing options such as bold, italic, strikethrough, inline code, superscript, subscript, and hyperlinks. You can also use left, center, and right alignment to keep your page layout clean and organized.
You can also customize your documents with 12 different text colors and highlighting effects to make key information stand out visually.
3) Connecting Morningmate data
Connect tasks and posts registered in Morningmate projects directly to your Wiki pages. Instead of simply copying information, you can create a smart experience where data stays synchronized in real time.
Select the Task table block in the editor or insert a desired Task post to create a “living document” where task statuses from your projects are synchronized with your Wiki page in real time.
In particular, the latest comments from connected posts are automatically collected and displayed, allowing you to understand the full context and progress of your work on a single page without having to move between multiple projects.
Tip!
Gather key tasks scattered across multiple projects and create an “Today’s work log” page in Wiki!
💡 When you change a task’s status to In Progress or Completed in a project, the change is reflected in the Wiki page in real time, making it easy to see the overall status of your work at a glance.
2. How to edit a page
Morningmate Wiki provides smart editing features to prevent document layouts from being accidentally changed or valuable data from being deleted.
1) Moving blocks with the drag handle
You don't need to grab and drag the content itself to move elements such as text, images, or task blocks. A dedicated drag handle prevents the document from moving unintentionally when you are selecting text or clicking links.
Click the six-dot drag handle on the left side of a block and move it to the desired position.
2) Protecting valuable data with “Safe Delete” (two-step deletion)
Blocks containing important information, such as images or task cards, are not deleted immediately with a single press of the Backspace key.
Press Backspace once to highlight the block with a purple border, indicating that it has been selected. You must press Backspace one more time to permanently delete the block.
Tip!
🔄️ Real-time auto-save: There is no separate Save button. All changes are reflected in real time.
🥶 Made a mistake? Use Ctrl+Z: You can immediately restore deleted tasks or images using the keyboard shortcut.
🗂️ Instead of creating documents directly in the Company folder, where they are shared with the entire company, try completing them in My folder first and moving them once they're ready.
