Morningmate Wiki provides a secure and transparent environment for team collaboration with detailed permission settings and a data recovery system. 🤝
1. User permissions and roles
You can assign different permissions to invited members based on their roles.
Permission | Available actions | Recommended use |
View only | View document content (cannot edit or delete) | Company-wide announcements, read-only guides |
Can edit | View, edit, and add content | Project collaboration, shared meeting notes |
Transfer ownership | Edit content and change sharing and permission settings | Team leaders, document owners |
Tip!
- Can edit / Transfer ownership: In addition to editing documents, users can view previous versions and restore data.
- View only: Users can view shared documents and add comments, but cannot view or restore previous versions or invite other members or change permissions.
2. Invite users and manage folder permissions
Click the [Share] icon in the upper-right corner to invite team members and immediately assign View or Edit permissions.
When you invite a team member to a specific folder, access permissions are automatically inherited by all pages within that folder. Instead of inviting members to each page individually, manage permissions easily at the folder level.
3. Revision history and version recovery (Data protection)
Morningmate Wiki keeps your important document data safe. If you accidentally delete content or need to refer to an earlier version, click the clock icon to restore the document to a specific previous version.
💡 Data vs. version
Data: Automatically saved editing history recorded every 10 seconds while editing.
Version: When no edits have been made for 10 minutes, the content is saved as a version.
1) Select and preview a previous version
In the Revision history list on the right sidebar, click a Version saved with a specific date and time. The entire document as it appeared at that point will be displayed as a preview.
The profiles of team members who were editing the document at that time are also shown, making it easy to understand who made changes and when.
2) Restore the entire document to a previous version
If you want to apply the entire document content shown in the preview to the current document, click [Restore this version] in the upper-right corner.
The entire current document will be overwritten with the content from the selected version. However, the restored state is also saved as a new version, so you can always return to the previous state if needed.
3) Review and recover specific content
If you don't want to restore the entire document and only want to recover a specific sentence or table that was accidentally deleted, use the [View changes] button in the upper-right corner.
This allows you to visually compare the differences between the current document and the previous version. You can then select the content you need, copy it using Ctrl+C, and paste it into the current document to recover only the specific content.
Tip!
If multiple people edit the same paragraph at the same time, the content saved last may be merged or a conflict notification may appear. For the safest editing experience, we recommend having team members work on different blocks or paragraphs whenever possible.
