Have you ever had an important task get buried in a conversation with your team? 🥹
With the Create task agent, AI analyzes your conversations and automatically turns important action items into task posts. You can review and edit the generated tasks before registering them as project tasks.
If there’s something discussed in a Morningmate chat (messenger) that you want to turn into a task post, simply ask the Repattern agent to create a task from the conversation and proceed with the registration.
1. Start creating a task from a chat
While exchanging messages with someone in a chat, hover over the message you want to turn into a task and click Create task.
When the confirmation window appears asking, “Would you like to create a task from the selected conversation?”, click Create task. Click Cancel to stop the extraction process.
2. Review the AI conversation analysis
After clicking Create task, the Repattern panel opens on the right side of the Morningmate main screen. AI analyzes the selected conversation and generates a task title and description.
It also carefully checks whether the conversation contains sensitive information, helping ensure that your data is handled with security in mind.
Tip!
The project and assignee for tasks generated by the agent are not specified by default. You must assign a project before registering the task.
At the bottom of each generated task, you’ll see the “How would you like me to refine this task?” field. You can use this field to ask AI to further refine the task, such as shortening the task title.
3. Review and edit the generated tasks
Once the analysis is complete, the agent displays a list of generated tasks with the message “I organized the tasks for you ✨”.
Each task includes a title and description. From this screen, you can specify the project, assignee, start date, due date, priority, and other task details.
① Edit a task
Click the Edit task (✎) icon in the upper-right corner of a generated task to open the detailed editing screen.
You can edit the title, description, project, assignee, schedule (start date/due date), and priority.
② Quickly assign a project and assignee
You can also quickly assign a project or assignee by clicking Project not specified or Assignee not specified directly within the generated task.
When you click the project field, your favorite and participating projects are displayed. You can also search for a project to find the one you want quickly.
*Important: A project must be selected before you can register the task.
4. Register the task
Finally, select the tasks you want to register by checking ✓ next to them, then click Register as task at the bottom.
Once registration is complete, a “Task created” message appears, and the task post is immediately created in the feed of the selected project.
