You can leave comments on posts created by yourself or others to share opinions and communicate with team members. Comments are divided into system comments and user comments, and you can freely interact by clicking Like on any comment.
Tip!
When writing a comment, you can click the Reply button below a comment to add a threaded reply.
1. Write a comment
Anyone who has permission to view the post can leave comments and share feedback.
You can also mention specific users (project participants) in comments by typing @Name. (View how to use mentions)
Remove/edit a comment
You can delete or edit your own comments. Please note that once the comment is deleted, it cannot be reverted.
Tip!
Comments can only be edited or deleted by the original creator. Even project managers cannot edit or delete another user’s comment.
System activity comments cannot be edited, but they can be deleted.
Edited comments do not leave any edit history.
2. Write replies to comments
You can click the Reply button under a specific comment to add additional replies.
This is useful when communicating with other members directly within a post.
1) Reply to a comment
Click Reply below a comment to write a reply to that specific comment.
Tip!
Mention tags are not automatically applied to the first reply in a comment thread.
2) Reply to a reply
You can also reply to an existing reply.
In this case, the user who wrote the reply will automatically be mentioned (@Name).
Note!
If a parent comment is deleted, all replies under that comment will also be deleted.
Replies cannot be added to system comments (such as assignee changes or status updates).
3. Distinguish between system comments and user comments
You can use the tabs at the top of the comment section to filter comments.
Select the All tab to view both system comments and user comments.
Select the Comments tab to view only comments written by users.
4. Express reactions with “Like”
You can click Like on comments to express reactions.
Click the number next to Like to see who reacted to the comment.
5. Pin comments to the top
You can pin important comments to the top of a post.
This is useful for highlighting important notices, additional information, or key discussions related to the post.
Tip!
The ability to pin comments follows the project’s Comment Permission settings. If the permission is set to Everyone, all project participants can use the feature.
Up to 10 comments can be pinned. Replies (threaded comments) cannot be pinned individually. If a comment with replies is pinned, all replies under it will be pinned together.
Pinned comments are always displayed at the top and will not be hidden under View previous comments.
1) Synced interactions
Pinned (copied) and original comments are mostly synchronized across all actions:
👍 Likes: Liking one updates both
💬 Replies: Replies appear on both
🗑️ Deleting: Deleting either one deletes both
🌐 Translation: Only the clicked comment is translated
✏️ Edits: Edits are applied to both the original and copied comments simultaneously
2) Pinned comments in different devices
Web
Pinned comments always appear at the top. Each post can have up to 10 pinned comments, regardless of whether they were pinned on web or mobile.
Pinning a comment is synced in the mobile version, and vice versa.
Mobile
All pinned comments are shown, regardless of how many you pin.
Pinning a comment on the app is available via long tap or pin icon (only on comments, not replies).
3) General policy for pinned comments
Pinning permissions
The ability to pin or unpin a comment depends on the project’s comment writing permission settings. If the comment permission is set to "All", any project member can pin comments. If only project managers are allowed to write comments, then only they will be able to pin comments.
Unpinning follows the same rules as pinning. However, all members in the project can unpin comments, even if they were pinned by someone else.
System comments
System comments are automatically generated by the system, not manually written by a user. They can also be pinned just like regular comments, but:They are not pinned in the "Comment" tab, as system comments are visible only under the "ALL" tab.
A maximum of 10 written comments can be pinned, but system comments are not subject to this limit and can be pinned freely.
Notifications
No notification is sent to the project members when a comment is pinned.
