Morningmate’s All-in-One Calendar now supports two-way syncing with Google Calendar! 🥳
You can now register events directly to your Google Calendar from Morningmate, and view events created in Google Calendar within your Morningmate calendar.
Tip!
The newly All-in-One Calendar with two-way sync to Google Calendar is different from the original calendars inside each project.
It is only available through the "Calendar" menu on the left sidebar, which will open in a separate window.
1. How to connect Google Calendar
You can link your Google account using one of the following methods:
1) Popup prompt: A popup window will appear when you access your Morningmate calendar without having any account integrated in advance.
2) Add Google account: Click the '+' icon in the calendar side menu to connect your Google account.
3) Manage calendar accounts: Go to “Calendar Settings” at the bottom left of Morningmate calendar and access “Manage Accounts” to link your Google account.
You can also disconnect your account on this page.
4. Personal profile settings: You may link your Google account through the "Integrations" category within your profile settings.
You can also disconnect your account on this page.
Tip!
You can check your connected account in “Calendar Settings” at the bottom left corner of the new Morningmate Calendar.
Only one Google account can be connected at a time.
2. Default calendar settings and sync options
1) Selecting a default calendar
Only calendars from projects where you have permission to edit posts will appear under “My Calendars” in Morningmate.
You can choose either Morningmate Calendar or Google Calendar as your default calendar. (If your Google account is not connected, only the Morningmate calendar will be available option to select.)
2) Behavior when syncing with Google Calendar
When you first connect your Google Calendar, its color settings, subscribed calendars, and selected checkboxes will be applied to the Morningmate calendar.
Tip!
If you later change the color or checkbox status in Google Calendar, those changes will not be reflected in the Morningmate calendar.
The order of Google calendars is not fixed and may appear randomly in Morningmate.
While calendar colors sync across devices, Google Calendar checkboxes do not.
Even if you change the checkbox status in the Morningmate Calendar,
3) Google Calendar subscription rules
You cannot subscribe to new Google Calendars directly from the Morningmate calendar.
When you subscribe to a Google Calendar through Google, it will appear in Morningmate with the checkbox enabled by default.

4) Google Calendar settings
When you click "Settings and Sharing" for a Google Calendar inside the all-in-one Calendar, you will be redirected to Google Calendar’s settings page (not a page within Morningmate)
Tip!
The calendars you subscribed to in Google will appear in Gmail address format when synced with Morningmate.
5) Google token expiration:
The token for Google Calendar integration may occasionally expire. In this case, an exclamation mark (!) will appear next to the Google Calendar item in the side menu.
Simply reconnect your Google account to continue using the integration!
4. Registering events in Google Calendar
You can now manage events created in either calendar from one place.
Depending on where you create a new event, it will automatically sync and appear in both platforms.
