Without the hassle of manually copying email content, with one simple click you can fetch all the content and post it as an article in morningmate using the Chrome extension program.
Unfortunately, this feature is only available on Google Chrome, as it requires the Google extension service. It is also not supported on the mobile app.
1. Install morningmate Chrome extension program
1) Search for "morningmate" on the Chrome Web Store and click on the morningmate extension service.
2) Click on "Add to Chrome" and add the program to your extension list. The extension program should be successfully installed in the extension icon next to the web address bar.
3) Next, you'll be directed to a new tab with the instructions page. Read the posts and click "Get Started", and your Google email platform will automatically open.
4) Return to your inbox, select any email, and verify if the three buttons have been installed:
5) In case you want to remove the extension program from your Chrome, go to the Chrome Web Store to uninstall it, or delete it directly from the extension icon next to the web address bar.
Tip!
Registering an email to morningmate post is only available on the Chrome web browser, not on the mobile app.
2. Transfer Email Content into morningmate Posts
The extension program will facilitate the transfer of not only email texts but also any images or file attachments associated with the emails.
A. Add to article
1) Open the email you wish to transfer and click "Add to article." All attachments will be included, and the email content will also be converted into an HTML file.
2) Select the project in morningmate that you want to post this article on.
3) After adding the email as a post in morningmate, click on "View Post" to be redirected to the actual post in morningmate.
B. Send to task
The email can also be converted into a "Task" post in morningmate. You can set the progress status, assign the task, add details like due dates and priority, and include subtasks.
Add Assignee
The recommended list of assignee will appear based on the participants of the selected project.
Add Subtask
Create subtasks directly within this process, without the need to edit the post separately.
Tip!
Setting assignees, due dates, and priority for each subtask is not available in this process. These settings can be configured by editing the actual post in morningmate.
C. Send to chat
The Chrome extension program also supports sending email text content to morningmate chat in HTML file format. Unfortunately, file attachments cannot be transferred via chat.
3. Common Policy
The morningmate Chrome extension can convert attachments up to a maximum size of 25MB.
File uploads from third-party services like Google Drive or OneDrive are not supported in the extension service; only computer files can be uploaded.
Once the email has been transferred to morningmate, you can distinguish in two ways:
Title tag: Once your email is posted on morningmate, a title tag will be created within the email. Click it to be redirected to the post in morningmate.
Morningmate logo tag: A small morningmate logo will appear next to the email title in your inbox, indicating that the email has been added as a post in morningmate.
